Minor Hotels is preparing for a significant expansion and refurbishment program throughout 2026, with a focus on integrating new properties and enhancing existing assets across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. This strategic growth trajectory is part of the company’s plan to surpass 850 properties globally by the end of 2027.

The investment program highlights a focus on upgrading established destinations. In Thailand, the foundational Anantara Hua Hin Resort will relaunch following extensive renovations, introducing 171 newly redesigned rooms and suites, including new pool access accommodations. Meanwhile, the Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel will undergo an enhancement program that includes the redesign of its 338 guest rooms and suites, an upgraded Kasara Lounge, and the addition of six new Garden Suites featuring private plunge pools. The luxury revamp extends to the Indian Ocean, where the NH Collection Maldives Reethi Resort is set to reopen in December 2025, offering 105 revitalized villas, 16 of which include private pools, near the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Emerging markets in Southeast Asia will see new properties debut. The Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane in Laos will introduce 197 rooms and suites, while the Avani Kota Kinabalu is scheduled to open in Malaysia’s Borneo region. In Australia, the Avani Mooloolaba Beach Hotel is on track for a mid-2026 launch on the Sunshine Coast, featuring 180 rooms and suites and a 12th-floor rooftop restaurant.

The Middle East and Africa represent a key area for new development. In the UAE, the Anantara Dubai Downtown Hotel will reopen after renovating its 252 guest rooms and suites, which include suites up to 235 square meters. Oman will welcome the Tivoli La Vie Muscat Hotel in the second quarter of 2026, which will feature 79 hotel rooms and 100 branded residences, along with a SEEN rooftop restaurant. Furthermore, Bahrain’s Bilaj Al Jazayer district will see a dual-brand opening in late 2026 with a 100-room Tivoli resort and a 110-room Avani property. Minor Hotels will also enter the African safari segment with the Anantara Kafue River Tented Camp in Zambia, featuring ten elevated villas, including a 400 square meter Presidential Villa.

European expansion includes the opening of the NH Collection Sliema Malta, a new-build hotel with 268 rooms, and the Tivoli Palazzo Risorgimento Lecce in Italy, which will offer 45 rooms with views of the historic center. These additions underscore the group’s commitment to growing its footprint in both established city centers and developing leisure destinations worldwide.
