flydubai has introduced a new Travel Shop in Sharjah in partnership with the Sharjah National Travel and Tourist Agency (SNTTA). The facility, located at Tower 400 in Al Soor, Hay Al Qasimiah, marks the first time the airline is offering a City Check-in service outside of the airport.
The new service allows passengers to complete check-in procedures in advance of their arrival at Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 2. Travellers can check in their baggage, select their seats, and collect boarding passes between 24 hours and up to six hours before their flight. This approach aims to ease congestion at the airport and reduce waiting times during peak periods.
The Travel Shop also offers a range of services including flight bookings, itinerary changes, and access to flydubai Holidays packages. Designed with customer convenience in mind, the space features service desks, a waiting area, and a porter service for baggage drop.
The move caters to residents in Sharjah and the wider Northern Emirates, providing easier access to airline services without the need to travel to the airport in advance. By decentralising the check-in process, the airline is responding to evolving passenger needs for more flexible and time-efficient travel options.
The introduction of the Travel Shop aligns with a broader shift in the aviation sector toward city-based service points, offering travellers more control over their journey.
