The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department is gearing up for a major global outreach campaign to promote the state’s diverse and vibrant tourism offerings. Aiming to attract international tourists, the department will participate in major travel marts and expos worldwide, showcasing Uttar Pradesh’s key tourism circuits, iconic destinations, traditional handicrafts, and rich cultural heritage through specially designed pavilions.

The global campaign will kick off with the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, scheduled from April 28 to May 1, 2025. Following this, Uttar Pradesh will be represented at leading international travel events across countries such as Thailand, France, Japan, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Spain, Australia, Germany, and Russia. The initiative aims to position Uttar Pradesh as a premier tourism destination on global platforms, inviting tour operators, travel agents, and investors to explore the state’s immense tourism potential and investment opportunities, the tourism and culture department noted in a press release.

Principal Secretary for Tourism and Culture, Mukesh Meshram, highlighted that the focus will be on internationally favoured destinations like Ayodhya, Varanasi, Mathura-Vrindavan, Lucknow, and Vindhyachal. These spiritually, historically, and culturally significant cities will be showcased through immersive, theme-based displays to captivate global audiences.

In addition to popular destinations, the tourism department will also promote lesser-known yet unique locations such as the Swaminarayan Temple in Gonda, ISKCON Temple in Vrindavan, Ramakrishna Math in Lucknow, and heritage-rich sites across Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Naimisharanya, Hastinapur, Shukteerth, Jait, and Bhavat village.

Through this expansive global outreach, Uttar Pradesh aims to strengthen its presence on the international tourism map, offering travelers a blend of spirituality, culture, history, and vibrant local experiences.
