Thailand has reinforced its position as a global leader in wellness tourism with the launch of “Thailand Excellence 2026 – The Next Chapter of Global Healing” at the Amazing Thailand Health & Wellness Trade Meet 2026, held at Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok. The initiative, led by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), highlights the country’s strategic focus on high-value, experience-driven travel.

The trade meet brought together 69 Thai wellness operators, 74 international buyers, and 24 overseas media and influencers, creating a powerful platform for business matching, global partnerships, and market expansion.

Positioned under the theme “Healing is the New Luxury,” the initiative reflects a shift in global travel behaviour, where wellness is becoming a central driver of tourism demand rather than a niche segment. TAT emphasised that Thailand’s strengths in medical excellence, holistic therapies, natural resources, and hospitality enable it to deliver high-value wellness experiences aligned with evolving global expectations.

A key highlight of the event was the Wellness Experience Sharing session, focusing on the future of longevity-driven tourism and lifestyle, alongside structured business meetings and curated site visits. International participants were given first-hand exposure to Thailand’s integrated wellness ecosystem through visits to leading facilities such as wellness clinics, hospitals, and specialised centres.

The one-day trade meet is expected to generate over 929.62 million Baht in revenue, underlining its strong economic impact and role in accelerating Thailand’s transition toward high-value and sustainable tourism segments.

The broader Thailand Excellence 2026 framework is built on three pillars, advanced medical excellence, science-based wellness, and traditional local knowledge supported by innovation, further strengthening Thailand’s ambition to become a global wellness hub.

Through initiatives like this, Thailand is not only enhancing its global tourism positioning but also creating new opportunities for international collaboration, investment, and growth within the rapidly expanding wellness tourism sector.
