Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has announced the launch of special tourism bus services across eight routes to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, 2026. The initiative is aimed at encouraging women to explore popular destinations around Pune while enjoying a comfortable and affordable travel experience. Priced at a concessional fare of ₹500 per passenger, the full-day tourism service is designed to offer citizens an opportunity to celebrate the occasion with family and friends while discovering the cultural, spiritual, and natural attractions surrounding the city.
According to PMPML officials, the buses will depart in the morning between 8:30 am and 9:00 am from key locations including Pune Station, Swargate, and Hadapsar Gadital. The services will return by evening after covering several well-known destinations in and around Pune district. The selected routes feature a diverse mix of pilgrimage sites, scenic landscapes, and heritage attractions such as Morgaon, Jejuri, Saswad, Narayanpur, Theur, and Ramdara. Other routes will take travelers to picturesque locations like the foothills of Sinhagad, Khadakwasla and Panshet dams, as well as cultural and spiritual landmarks including Tulapur, Ranjangaon, Lonavala, Bhuleshwar, and Baneshwar.
Officials stated that the routes have been carefully curated to offer a meaningful and enjoyable experience for women passengers, ensuring convenient boarding points and well-structured travel itineraries throughout the day. By introducing this initiative, PMPML aims to promote tourism around Pune while providing a safe and organized outing for women and families on this special occasion. Authorities expect strong participation and have encouraged interested passengers to plan early and take advantage of the Women’s Day tourism service, which combines convenience, affordability, and the opportunity to celebrate the spirit of the day through travel and exploration.
