Noida International Airport is set to commence commercial flight operations from June 15, 2026, marking a significant milestone in India’s aviation and infrastructure landscape. The long-awaited greenfield airport, located in Jewar in Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddh Nagar district, will serve as a major aviation hub for the National Capital Region (NCR) and northern India.

The launch follows the airport’s inauguration earlier this year and the successful approval of its Aerodrome Security Programme by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, confirming that all operational and safety systems are in place. The commencement of services will open a new gateway for passengers, airlines, and cargo operators, significantly enhancing regional connectivity and easing congestion at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.

In the initial phase, IndiGo will operate the inaugural flight, with other carriers such as Akasa Air and Air India Express expected to commence operations shortly thereafter. Detailed schedules and destinations are expected to be announced in the coming weeks as airlines finalise their operational plans.

The airport is positioned as a key infrastructure project aimed at boosting passenger travel, cargo movement, and economic growth across the region. Designed as a modern aviation hub, it will support both domestic and international connectivity while integrating with existing aviation networks in Delhi-NCR.

Once operational, Noida International Airport will play a crucial role in strengthening India’s aviation capacity and supporting rising air travel demand. It is also expected to contribute significantly to regional development by improving accessibility for businesses, tourists, and logistics operators.

As one of India’s most anticipated infrastructure projects, the launch of Noida International Airport signals a transformative step towards building a more connected and efficient aviation ecosystem, positioning the NCR as a major global aviation hub in the years ahead.
