Hampton by Hilton, a recognized brand within Hilton’s global portfolio, has officially opened its newest property, Hampton by Hilton Cusco, marking a significant step in the brand’s continued expansion across Latin America. The hotel is the brand’s third establishment in Peru, following existing operations in Lima San Isidro and Arequipa.
Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire and a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a critical hub for international and domestic visitors, serving as a gateway to Machu Picchu and other major cultural sites. This new development, backed by a US$20 million investment, is positioned to enhance the city’s tourism infrastructure by providing accommodations designed to meet the growing demand for quality lodging.
The new hotel aims to offer a strategic base for guests exploring Cusco’s cultural heritage. It is conveniently situated just 500 meters from the Koricancha Temple and one kilometer from the historic Plaza de Armas, placing visitors within easy reach of the city’s archaeological treasures, museums, and markets.
Hampton by Hilton Cusco features 120 rooms and combines comfort with modern amenities. The facility provides guests with complimentary Wi-Fi, a wellness area that includes a jacuzzi, a 24/7 market, and a dedicated meeting room capable of accommodating up to 60 people. This configuration makes the location suitable for both leisure travelers and the increasing segment of business tourists attending conferences in the region, thereby contributing to a more diverse range of tourism offerings in Peru.
Beyond offering lodging, the investment reflects a broader commitment to supporting Peru’s tourism sector. Hilton’s focus on environmentally responsible operations aligns with the country’s strategic goals for promoting sustainable tourism practices. The project is expected to generate a positive economic impact through job creation, both in hotel operations and throughout the local supply chain. The opening of Hampton by Hilton Cusco contributes to the city’s overall development, supporting the local economy as tourism continues to be a key driver of growth in the country.
