Kerala is gearing up to position itself as a premier destination for weddings and business events by hosting an exclusive Wedding and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) Conclave in Kochi from August 14 to 16, 2025. Organized by the Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) Society, the three-day event will feature 55 international delegates from 19 countries, comprising top wedding planners, luxury event curators, MICE operators, and industry influencers.
The conclave is part of Kerala’s strategic initiative to diversify its tourism offerings beyond traditional leisure travel and focus on high-value segments like destination weddings and corporate gatherings. Through curated B2B meetings, networking sessions, and venue tours, international buyers will experience Kerala’s unique blend of scenic backwaters, heritage resorts, beachside venues, and world-class hospitality infrastructure.
Kerala’s Tourism Department sees significant growth potential in the wedding tourism and MICE sectors, which have witnessed increasing demand post-pandemic as travelers seek intimate, experiential destinations. By targeting this niche, the state aims to boost tourist inflows, extend average visitor stays, and enhance revenue per tourist.
The conclave will also spotlight the state’s sustainability initiatives, women-friendly tourism programs, and heritage properties, positioning Kerala as a responsible and culturally rich destination for premium international events.
