Adani Airport Holdings and IHG Hotels & Resorts have announced a landmark partnership to develop five hotels across key airport-linked and high-growth urban destinations in India, marking a major expansion of airport-led hospitality infrastructure in the country. The agreement will add nearly 1,500 hotel rooms across multiple hospitality brands and also introduce Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in India for the first time.

The five-hotel portfolio will be developed across Jaipur, Navi Mumbai, Mangaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), strategically aligned with Adani Airport Holdings Limited’s growing airport ecosystem. The developments will include a Kimpton hotel in Jaipur alongside Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express properties integrated within upcoming mixed-use airport city projects.

The partnership represents Adani Group’s formal entry into the hospitality sector as it expands its airport-led urban infrastructure strategy. According to the companies, the collaboration aims to create integrated travel, hospitality, retail, and commercial destinations around India’s rapidly growing aviation hubs. The initiative is expected to support rising demand from business travellers, transit passengers, leisure tourists, and MICE segments across major gateway cities.

A key highlight of the agreement is the India debut of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, IHG’s globally recognised luxury lifestyle boutique brand known for design-led hotels, chef-driven dining experiences, and personalised hospitality concepts. Industry observers believe the launch reflects the growing demand for premium lifestyle hospitality experiences in India’s expanding travel market.

Pranav Adani, Director, Adani Enterprises Limited, stated that the partnership aligns with the group’s long-term vision of developing world-class destinations that integrate travel, stay, and urban experiences around India’s aviation growth corridors. Meanwhile, Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, noted that airport-led developments and gateway cities continue to witness strong hospitality demand, making India one of the company’s most important expansion markets.

IHG currently operates 52 hotels across six brands in India and has a pipeline of 98 additional hotels planned over the next three to five years. The new partnership is expected to further strengthen India’s hospitality landscape while supporting tourism growth, infrastructure development, and airport-centric economic ecosystems.
