RX Launches WTM Spotlight in Saudi Arabia

RX, a global leader in events and exhibitions, has announced the launch of WTM Spotlight in Saudi Arabia, a new addition to its World Travel Market (WTM) portfolio. The inaugural event will be held at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Convention Centre (RFECC).


Event Overview

WTM Spotlight in Saudi Arabia will immerse the global travel trade in the Kingdom’s booming tourism sector. The three day event will host over 450 exhibitors and attract approximately 6,500 regional and international visitors.

More than 150 international hosted buyers, chosen for their interest in the Saudi market, will participate to facilitate meaningful business connections.

The B2B2C format allows participants to engage in both inbound and outbound conversations. Attendees will connect with industry leaders, meet travel professionals, and explore Saudi Arabia’s rich culture.

A conference program will feature regional and global thought leaders. They will discuss opportunities shaping Saudi Arabia’s tourism, including connectivity, mega-projects, innovation, and evolving consumer preferences across the GCC.


Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and Tourism Growth

Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 aims to diversify the economy and position the Kingdom as a global tourist destination. Tourism is a key driver of this strategy, targeting a 10% contribution to GDP by 2030, up from 3.8% in 2019.

The Ministry of Tourism plans to attract 150 million visitors annually by 2030. The market is projected to grow from US$53.87 billion in 2024 to US$100.23 billion by 2030, reflecting a CAGR of 10.9%.

To support growth, the government is investing billions in giga-projects such as NEOM, the Red Sea Project, Qiddiya, Diriyah, and Roshn. Aviation is also expanding, with Riyadh Air launching and plans to triple passenger capacity to 330 million by 2030.
