Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has marked a significant milestone in its India expansion by signing the Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Kochi Infopark, the first property of its brand in the country, set to open by mid-2026. The 69-room hotel is being developed in partnership with AGA Hotels and Apartments, a well-established hospitality and real-estate firm based in Kerala, underscoring a strategic push into South India’s burgeoning hospitality market.

Situated near the rapidly growing Infopark IT corridor in Kochi, the property aims to serve a diverse mix of IT professionals, long-stay guests, corporate travellers and families, reflecting rising demand for high-quality, business-oriented and extended-stay accommodation in emerging commercial hubs.

Designed with contemporary comfort and functionality in mind, the hotel will feature spacious suites and well-appointed guest rooms, modern amenities, an all-day dining restaurant, dedicated meeting and business facilities, a fitness centre, and other services tailored to both business and leisure travellers.

Askar Gulabali, Managing Director of AGA Hotels and Apartments, expressed pride in introducing the first Ramada Hotel & Suites to Kochi, noting the city’s evolution as a major IT and commercial hub and the clear need for world-class accommodation that meets both international standards and local market requirements.

Rahool Macarius, Market Managing Director, Eurasia, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, highlighted Kochi’s expanding corporate landscape as an ideal location for the Ramada portfolio. He emphasised the collaboration with AGA Hotels and Apartments as a step toward strengthening Wyndham’s presence across key commercial markets in India, particularly in urban and high-growth regions.

The signing aligns with Wyndham’s broader strategy to grow its footprint in South India — a region experiencing robust economic expansion driven by sectors such as technology, real estate and commerce. As demand for premium hospitality solutions increases, especially in cities like Kochi, Bengaluru and Chennai, international brands are positioning themselves to cater to both domestic and global travellers seeking comfortable, flexible and high-service stays.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchising company with approximately 8,300 hotels in more than 95 countries, currently has a strong global portfolio and continues to ramp up development in India’s midscale, upper-midscale and extended-stay segments. This latest signing reflects continued confidence in India’s hospitality growth trajectory and highlights the importance of strategic partnerships in realising international brands’ expansion goals.

The new property is expected to play a pivotal role in enhancing hospitality infrastructure near Kochi’s Infopark, supporting the region’s transformation into a key destination for business and tourism alike.
