Volaris, Mexico’s leading ultra-low-cost airline, has signed a pivotal multi-year agreement with Sabre Corporation, a top software and technology provider for the global travel industry, to distribute its content through the SabreMosaic™ Travel Marketplace. With this partnership, Volaris begins its first foray into the global distribution system (GDS) channel, which instantly expands its vast network of more than 220 routes throughout Mexico, the US, Central America, and South America to a larger global audience.

By partnering with a major GDS, Volaris is able to integrate its high-frequency service and low fares with the systems that corporate travel agencies and management companies prefer, thereby directly targeting the lucrative corporate and business travel segments. “This partnership reinforces our approach to “better serve the business travel segment, integrating more efficiently with their systems while preserving the efficiency and flexibility that characterize us,” said Jorge García, Director of Distribution at Volaris.

The value of Sabre’s SabreMosaic Travel Marketplace is greatly increased by the addition of Volaris content. The platform reaffirms its position as a comprehensive source for multi-source travel content by integrating content from low-cost carriers from more than 150 airlines. By giving travel agencies easy access to one of the Americas’ fastest-growing airlines via well-known workflows like Sabre Red 360, this move expands their options. The deal “enhances the choice and value we deliver to agencies worldwide and underscores SabreMosaic’s role in connecting airlines with new revenue opportunities,” said Chris Wilding, Senior Vice President of Airline Distribution at Sabre. In the end, this partnership is obviously advantageous for both parties, giving Volaris new sources of income and giving travel agencies and their customers greater choices and flexibility in the cutthroat domestic and foreign markets.
