NTUC LearningHub (NTUC LHUB) has signed an overseas partnership with Hong Kong-based Earth Productions to extend its flagship sustainability-focused Certified Event Sustainability (CES) Programme beyond Singapore, aiming to bolster professional skills in the regional MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions) sector.
Announced on July 24, 2025, at the Singapore MICE Forum 2025 and witnessed by the Singapore Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers (SACEOS), the collaboration marks the CES programme’s first international expansion. Customised to fit Hong Kong’s local market needs, the partnership targets the growing demand for sustainability competencies in event planning and management.
The CES rollout includes a suite of three core modules: “Sustainability in MICE: Unlocking the New Horizon,” “Sustainability in Tourism and Event Operations,” and “Narrating Sustainability in Tourism and Events through Design Thinking.” These courses are designed to provide hands-on training on integrating sustainability, planning and managing sustainability reporting, and applying ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) metrics throughout event operations.
To ensure accessibility and relevance, trainees in Hong Kong will receive blended learning through NTUC LHUB’s Learning eXperience Platform (LXP), which includes Asia-Pacific case studies and practical policy templates. The goal is to train around 40 professionals annually in sustainability skills tailored for the MICE industry in the region. Since its launch in Singapore in March 2023, the CES programme has graduated over 150 learners, with more than a hundred currently enrolled.
NTUC LHUB will leverage its track record as Singapore’s leading Continuing Education and Training provider covering sectors from sustainability to digital transformation while Earth Productions brings deep regional event consultancy expertise. Together, they aim to create measurable impact in professional development for event sustainability across Asia-Pacific.
