Marriott International has strengthened its engagement with India’s travel trade through a three-city roadshow showcasing its Maldives portfolio across Mumbai, Ahmedabad and New Delhi. The initiative brought together travel industry partners, trade media and other stakeholders, providing a platform to discuss developments across Marriott International’s resort portfolio in the Maldives.
The roadshow highlighted the continued importance of the Indian market for Marriott International’s Maldives business. Discussions covered the company’s resort portfolio, its dedicated destination sales team in India, recent property developments and plans for further expansion in the destination.
The engagement also provided travel trade partners with updates on Marriott International’s evolving presence across the Maldives. The company currently operates a portfolio of resorts in the destination, with its India-focused sales team supporting relationships with travel partners and strengthening market engagement.
Recent developments in the portfolio have further expanded Marriott International’s offering in the Maldives. Among the developments highlighted by the company are JW Marriott Kaafu and the relaunch of W Maldives, alongside upcoming projects that will add to its presence in the destination.
The company has also outlined plans for further expansion, including the Bvlgari Resort Ranfushi, which is planned to open in July 2027.
By taking its Maldives portfolio to key Indian travel markets, Marriott International used the three-city roadshow to maintain direct engagement with travel advisors and industry stakeholders while sharing updates on its properties, sales support and expansion pipeline.
The Mumbai, Ahmedabad and New Delhi engagements underline Marriott International’s continued focus on strengthening trade relationships in India and keeping travel partners connected with developments across its Maldives resort portfolio.
