Hilton has officially introduced its Spark by Hilton brand to the Asia Pacific region with the opening of its first two hotels in Bengaluru and Goa, marking a significant milestone in the company’s regional expansion strategy. The launch builds on Hilton’s strategic partnership with Olive Hospitality to develop 150 Spark by Hilton hotels across India over the next few years, strengthening its presence in the country’s rapidly growing mid-market hospitality segment.
Launched globally in 2023, Spark by Hilton is one of Hilton’s fastest-growing brands, designed to offer travellers a simple, reliable and comfortable stay at an accessible price point. The brand has already expanded to more than 240 operating hotels with nearly 230 properties in the pipeline across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and other international markets.
The newly opened 82-key Spark by Hilton Bengaluru Marathahalli Outer Ring Road is strategically located in one of Bengaluru’s busiest commercial and technology hubs, close to Export Promotion Industrial Park, Embassy Tech Village, Eco World, Salarpuria Softzone and Helios Tech Park. Positioned to cater to strong corporate and MICE demand, the hotel offers convenient access for business travellers.
Meanwhile, the 64-key Spark by Hilton Goa Calangute brings the brand to one of India’s most popular leisure destinations. The property is designed to serve leisure travellers, group stays, corporate offsites and travel agent-led business.
For the Indian market, Spark by Hilton has been customised with locally relevant experiences while maintaining the brand’s global standards. Guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast featuring DIY dosa stations, self-service chai carts, fitness facilities, vending machines stocked with travel essentials, and in-room dining at select hotels. Technology-enabled services, including Digital Check-in, Digital Key, service request support and integration with the Hilton Honors mobile app, further enhance guest convenience.
Commenting on the launch, Alan Watts, President, Asia Pacific, Hilton, said India remains one of Hilton’s most exciting growth markets, driven by rising travel demand and increasing consumer preference for quality branded accommodation. He noted that the debut of Spark by Hilton will help the company serve a broader range of travellers while accelerating growth through strong local partnerships.
Alissa Klees, Global Brand Leader, Spark by Hilton, described the India debut as a defining moment in the brand’s global journey, highlighting its scalable model and ability to deliver a consistent guest experience across diverse markets. Kahraman Yigit, Co-founder and CEO of Olive Hospitality, added that Spark by Hilton has the potential to redefine value-driven hospitality in India by combining Hilton’s global standards with an efficient conversion-led growth model.
Following the recent signing of the first 10 Spark by Hilton hotels in India, the brand is expected to expand further into key business and leisure destinations including Jaipur, Nashik, Mathura, Pune, Rajkot and Hyderabad, reinforcing Hilton’s long-term commitment to India’s hospitality sector.
