Hilton has announced a significant expansion in Hyderabad, India, through the signing of an agreement to develop a new resort-and-spa property in the Shamirpet area, just outside the city. The property, to be known as the Hilton Hyderabad Resort & Spa, will be located near Genome Valley, a growing biotech and innovation hub in Telangana.
The original announcement stated that the site would be around 15 acres in size and would have 13 private villas with plunge pools in addition to 115 guest rooms. Facilities for conferences and social events, such as sizable banquet areas and meeting rooms for both business and leisure travelers, are also included in the plan. Hilton explained the action as a component of a larger plan to expand its presence in India, especially in the southern areas, and the hotel’s development partner is CKR Resorts Private Limited.
