Radisson Hotel Group is making bold moves to enhance its footprint in India, with multiple hotel launches and a strong pipeline of upcoming properties slated through the remainder of 2025. The group’s expansion strategy covers business, leisure, spiritual, and Tier-2/3 markets, underlining its commitment to capturing diverse travel demand across the country.
One of the group’s recently opened properties is Radisson Hotel Prayagraj, and several more are on the horizon: Radisson Hotel Delhi MG Road, Radisson Resort Mount Abu, Radisson RED Indore, Radisson Hotel Phagwara, and Radisson Resort & Spa Sasan Gir are expected to start operations soon. These projects reflect Radisson’s dual aim: balancing presence in metropolitan areas while pushing into emerging destinations.
Earlier in 2025, between January and August, Radisson opened 10 new hotels across various locations including Gaj, Koti, Prayagraj, Jawai, Vellore, Bengaluru, Jamshedpur, Khopoli, and Kevadia. This broad-based expansion underscores the group’s confidence in India’s growing travel aspirations and increasing leisure, business, and pilgrimage tourism.
In addition to geographic expansion, Radisson is tailoring its offerings to the characteristics of each market. For example, the upcoming properties in places like Indore and Phagwara aim to cater to lifestyle and corporate travelers, while resorts in Mount Abu and Sasan Gir are positioned for family and leisure guests seeking relaxation and local culture. The deployment of its Radisson RED brand in Indore indicates a play towards younger, lifestyle-oriented travelers.
Radisson’s leadership has signaled that this growth aligns with larger national goals. “India is one of our most dynamic growth engines globally, and the strong start to 2025 reflects both the country’s rising travel aspirations and the government’s push to position tourism as a pillar of economic growth,” said Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and COO for South Asia at Radisson Hotel Group. The company also emphasizes creating long-term partnerships, integrating regional culture into its hotels, and maintaining high service standards.
With over 200 properties already operating in India, Radisson is reinforcing its presence across the length and breadth of the country-from North India in Prayagraj and Delhi, to East India in Jamshedpur, to the South in Bengaluru, and spiritual destinations like Sasan Gir. The upcoming cluster of properties are expected to further strengthen its appeal across customer segments and fulfill increasing demand for quality lodging.
